Coffee can be better. That realization inspired our founders to purchase a table-top 2.5 kilo Petroncini Roaster and embark on a journey to roast and sell coffee from a Marin County garage in 1995. They believed coffee could be roasted better, brewed better and, most importantly, it could be sourced in a way that makes lives better. Those early days in the garage marked the beginning of a high-impact coffee company focused on quality, sustainability and social responsibility. After 25 years, eight cafes and thousands of cups served, our impact has grown but our values remain the same. Equator Coffees is an award-winning coffee roaster, retail operator and coffee farm owner headquartered in Marin County, CA. Founded in 1995 by Brooke McDonnell and Helen Russell, Equator's commitment to a sustainable, transparent approach spans more than two decades. In 2011, Equator formalized its commitment to sustainability by becoming the first California coffee roaster to become a certified B Corporation.

We want you to love our coffee as much as we do. If you don’t, that’s okay because we’re here to help you select the right coffee for you. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you have 30 days to make an exchange from the date you received it. To be eligible for an exchange, you must return the item in the original packaging. Shipping charges to and from the Roastery are non-refundable. Customer Service is available between 9 am and 5 pm PT Monday through Friday via phone (800-809-7687) or email (info@equatorcoffees.com) to help. After 30 days we will no longer accept exchanges.
