Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I water my SeaGarden?
We suggest using a small mister to water your SeaGarden about once a week or every 10 days. Try to aim the water between the plants and at their base. It's best not to let water collect on top of the plants. Succulents prefer dry conditions so take care not to overwater your SeaGarden.
How much sun should my SeaGarden get?
Your SeaGarden will easily thrive in a room with good natural light. If the colors of your plants seem to be fading, your SeaGarden probably needs a little more sun. Try setting it outdoors for a couple hours on a sunny day.
How long will my SeaGarden last?
Your SeaGarden can last indefinitely with just a little TLC. Ocassionally, gently pull away and remove any plant petals that may have dried up or discolored. If a plant has shot up or outgrown it's space, it's best to replace it with a younger, fresh succulent. Each SeaGarden is sent with complete and easy care instructions.
Some of the plants fell out during shipping. What should I do?
Should a planting become loose or fall out, simply place it back into the soil/moss mixture and it will reroot itself. Succulents do well by living compactly.
Where do you find your shells?
Whelk shells are plentiful on the Eastern shores of the United States. We have connected with beachcombers in New Jersey, Virginia and Florida who collect the shells that have washed in with the tide, on their local beaches. They are always careful to check that the shell is uninhabited by sea-life, before adding it to their collection.
Do you offer gift wrap and gift card enclosures?
While our SeaGardens can not actually be wrapped they are shipped in a gift-ready and eco-friendly presentation. A personalized message from the sender may be included with any package. Each SeaGarden is sent with complete and easy care instructions.
Return and Exchanges
We want you to be thrilled with your SeaGarden and to cherish it for many months to come. While we do not offer refunds on SeaGardens, if yours arrives damaged or is not what you expected, we want to know.
Sometimes during shipping or handling, a succulent may fall out of place. Just pop it back in and it will continue to thrive. Be sure to follow our Care Instructions to ensure the longevity of your SeaGarden.
