Louise Newsome

Louise Newsome was born in Liverpool, England and came to the USA in 1987, making New York her permanent home in 1993. Leading most of her professional life as an entrepreneur, Louise held the VP of Programming position at a national professional women’s networking organization for three years, before leaving to focus her efforts on two personal projects; The Newsome family business Coopers Daughter Spirits in Claverack, NY and Trade and Prosper, an association supporting artisanal business owners through marketing, events and professional development. Bringing all of her professional experience to the Doorstep Market was the perfect next step.

Jennifer Solow

Jennifer Solow is a lifelong creative force. After graduating from RISD, Jennifer pursued a career in advertising, where she won a Gold Lion, was named one of New York’s Young Guns by the Art Directors Club and collaborated with creative luminaries like Spike Jonze, Spike Lee and Terry Richardson. In 2001, Jennifer performed a full life reset to pursue her truest creative passions: writing and the food world. Jennifer is a bestselling novelist and the publisher of three Edible magazines. When the brutal reality of COVID descended, Jennifer had a vision for how to help the Makers in her Hudson River Valley community connect with the large Edible audience that holds them dear. That vision became Doorstep Market. Jennifer is a mom (and stepmom) to four amazing adults and one very large kitchen garden at her farmstead in the bucolic hills of Columbia County, NY.

Tom Jacoby

Doorstep Market, Founder, The Business Guy

Tommy’s love of the Hudson River Valley runs as deep and true as if the place itself was his family. An accomplished businessman, Tommy drives home to East Chatham and changes from his business suit to Carhartts as fast as possible. Tommy was raised in Columbia County, and while he’s lived in many places over the course of his life, he has always come home to these sacred lands. Along with his wife (see above), he was a founding contributor to the Berkeley Food Institute. Tommy has many hobbies and interests but perhaps his proudest moment was pulling in the 9,500-pound class on a ’54 Case in the Columbia County Fair.

Jonathan Taee

Doorstep Market, Founder, Chief Technology Officer

Jonathan ended up in the Hudson River Valley because he fell in love with a farmer. His wife owns and operates Ironwood Farm, and now he finds his house full of kids, mud and organic vegetables, and his table surrounded by a beautiful community of Hudson River Valley families. When he’s not cooking, he’s running his digital agency Rhizome Consulting, assisting in the operation of Edible Hudson Valley, and now enjoying the rewarding work at Doorstep Market. He built this website and most of the mechanics that make it tick. He is excited to help connect the Hudson River Valley's incredible Makers with an expansive audience.

Colleen Stewart

Hudson River Doorstep Market, Marketing Manager

Need a Hudson River Valley donut recommendation? Look no further than our resident donut connoisseur! From networking at local events to interacting with artisans and Makers on Instagram, Colleen has been supporting the Hudson River Valley small business community for over five years. Prior to Edible Hudson Valley and Hudson River Doorstep Market, Colleen worked at The Valley Table and helped to manage Restaurant Week. She is inspired every day by the innovative and creative small business owners she gets to work with and is excited to continue supporting them through the Hudson River Doorstep Market.

Maryellen Case

Hudson River Doorstep Market, Director of Business Development

Maryellen Case is New York through and through. Born and raised in Western New York, she moved to New York City to pursue what would become a vibrantly successful career in marketing and publishing. In 2007, she made the move (before it was cool) and settled in Beacon. From then, Maryellen began forging her career in the Hudson River Valley, establishing MCaseMedia, Inc., as a marketing, sales, and business development consulting agency. Her outside-the-box business sense has cemented her as a leader in the Hudson RiverValley publishing industry and helped to revolutionize the Hudson River Valley small business community.

Julia Sexton

Julia comes to Doorstep Market as a national award-winning food writer, cookbook author, and the Editor-in-Chief of Edible Hudson Valley and Edible Westchester. Raised between New York City and the Hudson River Valley, she spent much of her childhood running dirty and wild in Woodstock and Washington County. For the last 15 years, Julia has traveled all over New York State profiling chefs, farmers, foragers, distillers, and brewers while cranking out high-profile restaurant reviews, profiles and round-ups. Old enough to pine for the fun and dangerous days of New York City, Julia now lives with her family in Westchester, and is happy to keep a foot in both the City and the Hudson Valley.

Erin Brennan

Hudson River Doorstep Market, Production Manager

Born and raised “across the river, to the Jersey side,” Erin Brennan prides herself as a chameleon in her professional life, one with some graphic design chops and a knack for the publishing industry. Brennan started as an ad designer for Edible Jersey but soon dove further into the Edible world, joining the production team at Edible Hudson Valley in 2018. As a frequent concert-goer who is constantly on the lookout for a good local drink and a vegetarian dish, she is no stranger to exploring the Hudson River Valley region and is honored to support local businesses in her community and beyond through Doorstep Market.

Damon Jacoby

Hudson River Doorstep Market, Visual Content Creator

Damon has spent a good portion of his life living, visiting and capturing the beauty of the Hudson Valley through his lens. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in visual journalism from Brooks Institute, he went on to work as a freelancer in NYC for several years. Yearning for a life closer to the outdoors he moved to Columbia County where he became photo editor and photographer for Edible Hudson Valley and Edible Westchester magazine. He now creates visual content for Doorstep Market and the small businesses that it serves in addition to running his production company, Black Rock Visuals.

Ethan Jacoby

Hudson River Doorstep Market, Operations Manager & User Support

Ethan may be a global citizen but his New York roots have kept him grounded throughout his travels and various work projects. An avid baseball fan, Ethan spent the early part of his career in professional baseball and would later push his personal and professional boundaries across the Pacific, learning Mandarin and Cantonese in order to survive the hustle and grit of wet and dry markets across Hong Kong and Shanghai. A problem-solver and troubleshooter at heart, Ethan is the first line of contact for any questions coming from vendors or buyers related to orders and shipping. He finds satisfaction and inspiration in working with small businesses of all kinds and is always eager to engage with local makers to help their businesses run as best they can.
