Concept Fourteen is the result of Lillie Fortino's love of home entertainment, art, and cooking for friends and family. She felt that all the fabric table linen options on the market felt stale, dated, and uninspired, and those that weren't were unaffordable. It was this joy of sharing a meal with her loved ones, combined with her passion for design, that sparked the flame that became Concept Fourteen.

Concept Fourteen uses contemporary design and art to promote meaningful conversation at the dinner table. In a fast world, we are inspiring the modern generations to "bring back the dinner party" to once again cherish a simple homemade dinner with important people and talk about things that matter.

Concept Fourteen creates table textiles from original hand-painted designs that are printed by hand in an artists' study in Connecticut. Each napkin is a labor of love, resulting in a unique textile that is 100% fade-proof, wrinkle-proof, extraordinarily easy to launder, and extremely durable and long-lasting.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ What Does “Concept Fourteen” Stand For? The “concept” is the idea that anything is possible, and the “fourteen” is a reference to personal and unique identity based off of the creator’s last name and paternal artistic signature. Is Concept Fourteen sustainable? We’ve got a low carbon footprint from beginning to end, and have created a product meant to last hundreds of uses. Ditch the wasteful paper napkins and paper towels and start using cloth napkins that will last for hundreds of meals. How are designs created? All designs are hand-painted by Lillie on a small scale in gouache paints, and then scanned into the computer and transitioned into digital format for application to textile design. How are products manufactured? All textile products are hand-printed in Lillie’s home studio. Concept Fourteen avoids tags and labels when possible, printing logos directly on to products, in order to lessen our environmental footstep and maintain a handmade aesthetic. Secondary packaging is also handmade in Lillie’s home studio and is also sustainable.
