Real Pickles is a worker co-op on a mission to build a better food system. We are committed to promoting human and ecological health by providing people with delicious, nourishing food and by working toward a regional, organic food system.
We aim to produce the highest quality, traditional pickled foods available, using natural fermentation. We buy our vegetables only from Northeast family farms and sell our products only within the Northeast. Our ingredients are 100% organic.
We source primarily from 8 organic farms located on the rich soils of the Connecticut River Valley and within 40 miles of Real Pickles. The farmers we work with are committed to building healthy living soil and have a wealth of experience in growing organically. The result is ingredients of the highest quality, full of flavor and nutrients.
As a worker co-operative, Real Pickles is preserving our strong social mission, empowering our staff to direct the future of our business, and creating good local jobs with shared profits. We are proud to be part of a movement to build and strengthen democratic economies in our community and beyond.
Real Pickles operates out of a solar-powered, energy-efficient, organic pickling facility on Wells Street in Greenfield, MA.
